3G DataCard installation

1. Before connecting the data card, first you run the setup of software from the CD.

2. Put the Sim Card back of your 3G Data Card.

3. Now insert the 3G datacard in your laptop PCMCIA port. it automatically detected and installed.

4. If your 3G data card comes along with USB connectivity, then connect it into USB port.

5. Set APN = etisalat.ae  for data package

Windows XP GPRS Dialup Setting.

1. Click start menu and then Control Panel .

2. Double click Network & Internet Connections .

3. Double click Network connection >>>>> click make new connections, when the Network wizared appears click NEXT >>>> slect Internet connection >>>> Dial Up Networking Click Next  .

4. Type in Phone number (dial up no) * 99 # .

5. Make this default connection & click next

6. In the name field type in mnet  as the name of the computer you want to connect to >> click next.

7. Right mouse click on the new created connection icon (mnet), and select properties .

8. In the Phone No make sure the Use Country Code & Area code ( dialling roules )   not selected     ( Not checked ).

9. Make sure that your modem the modem ( mobile ) type is selected .

10. Click the Networking button >>>> The type of Dial Up server should be selected , other items should be not selected  (Not Checkd) .

11. In the advanced options Section make sure thate ONLY Enable soft ware compression is selected  ( Chected ).

12. In the network Protocols make sure thate ONLY TCP/IP is selected ( checked ) .

13. Press (click ) on ok button to end the setting

14. Double click on the new created connection (mnet) >>>> type in  the user name as mnet and the password as mnet  and click on CONNECT button the here you are connected to the internet.
